New Jersey Music Educators Association
The New Jersey Music Educators Association (NJMEA) is a passionate network of private piano teachers dedicated to raising the standards of music education
across the state. Since its founding in Newark, NJ, 1924, NJMEA has championed musical excellence and inspired a love of music in students of all ages.
Through a rich array of programs, such as auditions, competitions, recitals, master classes, and composition festivals, NJMEA creates unforgettable experiences
where students can grow, shine, and develop confidence in their artistry. Their generous scholarship offerings also make music education more accessible,
helping students continue their musical journeys in college, camps, and beyond.
Plus, NJMEA is a tremendous resource for educators, offering continuing education, workshops, and mentorship to support private teachers as they guide
their students toward musical success.
Many of our students proudly include their participation in NJMEA programs, like master classes and competitions, on their college applications, where it highlights
their dedication, musical growth, and commitment to excellence.
